Best children's films from the 1990s

In 1990 there were a lot of movies that came to the movie world, however there are four that stick out the most for many. The movie developers often reach out to children in order to make the most out of their film and receive quite a bit of attention through the industry. In the year of 1990 there were quite a few movies that were released and listed below are three of the top films for children in 1990.

Duck Tales: Treasure of the Lost Lamp follows the beloved Disney characters Scrooge McDuck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, Webby Vanderquack, and Launchpad McQuack as they journey to the Middle East in search of a treasure of Collie Baba and his Forty Thieves. Though they are not alone on their adventure as they are accompanied by Dijon who is their handy guide for the ancient temple, but he’s not quite who they thought he was.  They do not know he is under the employment of Merlock a magician who would like to find a very specific reassure.

Following a map as their guidelines the group finds themselves facing a lot of pyramid traps they find a magic lamp that they believe has no value what so ever. However after leaving the pyramid, Merlock snatches it. With this happening much more is in store for these poor characters as they fight to get their lamp back and try to find the rest of the treasure.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brought fans of the animated cartoon to the edges of their seats with this film in the 1990s. Following the story of everyone’s favorite turtles through the sewers of New York, viewers find themselves on a journey with the gang as they try and defeat the evil Shredder. Through the power of team work and the help of their mentor and friends, they must rid the city of Shredder and find a way to be happy with their own lives.

Home Alone gave a new found joy to the holiday comedy. Following the story of the McCallister family on the night before their flight to Paris for Christmas, the entire family meets in Winnetka, Illinois. Their eight year old son Kevin (Macaulay Culkin) after a fight with his cousin Buzz wishes that the entire family would disappear. During the night a power outage resets the alarm clothes causing the family to oversleep. In the rush of being late, the family rushes to get everyone and everything ready but does not realize they have forgot Kevin until they arrive in Paris and do a head count.

Though his family has left him behind Kevin is ready to have the time of his life. Movie viewers get to see all the fun and games he gets to have on his venture alone and many things may or may not go wrong. This movie is a fun filled adventure for all those who love children and holiday movies.

Each of these movies was released in 1990 and made children of all ages entertained and have a great time. Even now children everywhere can enjoy these films with their family and friends. Many times children's movies can be found at a low price at video stores or online for purchase.
