Thank Heaven for Baring Veterinary Clinic.

*UPDATE ON BOOTS*

Surgery went well and they have cleaned her abscess out. She now has to wear this cone on her head for 2 weeks until it's completely healed. In three days I have to take her to get her drain out, and during the next two weeks keep an eye on the healing process and only feed her 1/3 of what I feed and water her normally. She's going to be a sad kitty since she has to be an indoor cat, but I think I might just make her one for good after that so things like this don't happen again. Poor little cutie pie.

Baring Veterinary and all of their staff were my saviors today. My poor cat Boots was home alone when an abscess that she had burst because it was infected. I had no idea that she had one, because she's so fluffy from being a long haired cat. I came home to some awfulness. Warning, if you're queasy or can't stomach wounds than I wouldn't look at the following pictures.

They were so great at the place that I am glad I was able to bring her in. Since I don't drive, my friends who happened to be hanging out both rushed me and Boots to the clinic before they closed so we could get her taken care of. They are keeping my little girl over night and taking care of her in the morning. They're going to sedate her, stitch her up, and give her antibiotics. I also have to go tomorrow to pick up some baby booties to put on her paws so she can't scratch her stitches out. Due to where the abscess was, they can't put a cone on her head.

I am so grateful I have such wonderful friends and family in my life that love me and Boots. <3 I'll keep everyone updated as her progress comes along, and I'll even take a picture of her in her booties if I can get some. She's my pride and joy (she's like my kid, ya know) and I love her to pieces.

Luckily, she will only be in there for a night and they said she should recover easily with the antibiotics they give her. It also didn't cost as much as I had expected it to. I'm glad I still had some tax return money left so I could cover almost all of it. My friend Eric is going to help me cover the rest. <3

I've put a bunch of useless periods and SCROLL DOWN so that you can avoid the pictures entirely if you want to and just comment with your thoughts.

Kids Vs. Chores: How to Win The Losing Battle

Parent: "Why haven't you done your chores?"
Child: "I'll do them later!"

Whether we like to admit it or not, we’ve all been in that type of position. Whether it is from being a parent or being a kid in the house, it stinks. Most the time it ends up with a yelling match and a stomping child getting annoyed that they have to do their chores, whatever they may be. It doesn’t have to be this way anymore. With the below simple tips not only will your children be doing their chores but *gasp* they may actually like doing them.

Have you considered making chores a game yet? There are many ways to do this including making it a timed challenge. Timing is a great way to get them to do their chores and have a little fun. For example, try making it a contest between each child. Whoever has their chores done first within the next 30 minutes can stay up 20 minutes later. This is a great way to get the kids moving and keeping time for them to be able to do other things as well.

Make sure that you are also letting them know that you as the parent will be checking their progress at the end of the challenge. This almost works like a reward system in a way. After all, what kid doesn’t like staying up past their normal bedtime?

Glee gets Unique with 200 Transgender Choir and GLAAD

NOTE FROM THIS BLOGGER

Comments that are NEGATIVE or HATEFUL will be removed right away.
I will not condone discrimination on this page.
So keep your negativity away from me, and all of my readers.
Thank you,
Mary O'Malley

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a fan of +GLEE  and all it represents. They know that I not only enjoy the show but I am a fan of the storyline, the actors, and the lessons that come with it. While this show has inspired many to come out of their shells and join together as GLEEKS, many non viewers may misconstrue what the show really is about. It's about many things including acceptance, love, friendship, finding yourself, and following your dreams. The McKinley High Glee Club was just the beginning.

Sure some of the scenes are a little far fetched, but that's just the type of show it is. The songs are meant to be like a music video. For example, in +The Glee Project  the contestants would all perform a song together and it would be filmed as a music video. My personal favorite will always be Mad World. It was deep, and beautiful.

Review of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

What would happen if suddenly there were no more Crabby Patties?
WHAT NO CRABBY PATTIES?!?!

Now that I've caught your attention, let me tell you a little story about what happens when Bikini Bottom runs out of the one beloved thing that the entire town can count on. Coming together, one brave and unexpected team comes together to do everything they can to right this wrong.

SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of the Water Movie Review

Overview

Nickelodeon has brought SpongeBob fans everywhere a brand new look into their favorite sponge in the newest movie: The SpongeBob Movie: Out of Water. In the beginning of the film we see this mysterious pirate (Antonia Bandares) on a treasure hunt to find a special book hidden on an island. We only meet him for a brief moment where he gets back to his ship and sets sail for the mainland.

Much like the beloved cartoon featured on Nick, viewers of all ages can get a glimpse of the evil Plankton trying to steal the secret formula from the Krabby Patty. Plankton who is normally foiled by something during his schemes finds himself that much closer to the secret recipe in the beginning of the film.

With the brilliant idea of changing the recipe out with a fake, he finds himself in a battle with SpongeBob (Tom Kenny) trying to take the formula from his hands. Unfortunately, while in the middle of a tug of war, the bottle vanished out of nowhere without explanation. While the formula is gone Bikini Bottom turns into an apocalypse because the beloved crabby patty recipe is nowhere to be found and nobody knows the formula by heart. Even SpongeBob, who makes the recipe every day can’t seem to recall the recipe.

The loss of the formula puts Bikini Bottom into an apocalypse. With this SpongeBob is blamed and so is Plankton. The entire town has lost themselves because they cannot have their Krabby patty. Having to form a Team or a T-ahm (as Plankton cannot say the word team) SpongeBob and Plankton find themselves working on a way to bring back the formula and save Bikini Bottom, including going back in time.

During this time traveling adventure they not only find themselves going backwards and forwards but at one point meeting up with the watcher of space, Bubbles. At this point they finally go back in time to the right moment but SpongeBob grabs the wrong bottle, and they still don’t have the answers to save the world of Bikini Bottom.

Without giving away the twist, I can share that this unlikely duo becomes a group when Plankton and SpongeBob get a clue. With the help of the group, they set off on an adventure out of the water, giving the film a live action appeal with some 3D animations.

Review
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie. SpongeBob has always been silly and a fun choice for my family and I to watch. Not to mention kids of all ages everywhere can find themselves loving (or hating) this movie. For me, I enjoyed it to my very core because well, I love SpongeBob, he’s cool. I love Patrick because he’s a big dope, but has a heart of gold. The rest of the characters have their own loveable traits and can all be equally liked among fans.

My favorite parts were definitely when Plankton got a look into SpongeBob’s brain and found he was dealing with nothing but happy cheerful things. It reminded me a little bit of Carebears. The second part would definitely be when they traveled onto the dry land and we got a glimpse of these characters outside of their element with a little extravagance.

All in all as I told my friend I would definitely go see this again and I’m already waiting for it to come on DVD because I liked it so much. Don’t believe me? Look at what I wore to the movie when we went and saw it!

Lastly, I can say at the end of the film of course I found myself singing along with the SpongeBob Squarepants theme song and I knew every word even after all these years. With that, I must say; Are you ready kids?
♪ OHHHH! Who lives in a Pineapple under the sea?
Spongebob Squarepants!
Absorbent and yellow and porous is he
Spongebob Squarepants!
If nautical nonsense be something you wish
 Spongebob Squarepants!
Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish
 Spongebob Squarepants!
 READY?
Spongebob Squarepants!
Spongebob Squarepants!
Spongebob Squarepants!
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPAAAAANTS!

I bet you just sang that, didn't you?
(Don't Worry, I did too)

Did you see the film? What did you like or dislike about it?

Coca-Cola Life product review

Dear +Coca-Cola,
I would like to thank you for listening to soda drinkers like myself who are looking for more soda options without all the high fructose corn syrup. I've recently given up drinking soda as much as I use to for this very reason. My doctor and I discussed it and she told me the main thing that is so bad for me (INDIVIDUALLY) is the corn syrup and all the artificial sweeteners inside pop, including my favorite go to drink, Coca-Cola Classic.

So I thank you for creating a drink that I can have that doesn't have all the junk in it I can't have. I know some of the ingredients are not entirely healthy but I feel better knowing that my soda only has a few ingredients rather than a whole lot of stuff I can't pronounce.

I'm so glad I found this at my local +7eleven Cooporation and I wanted to share with my readers how much I enjoyed it. There's nothing else I can say except "Oh thank heaven" because, it truly felt like a sign that I was meant to find this soda pop today.

Sincerely,
Mary O'Malley

Review on Coca-Cola Life

After finding the product I came home and had it as a refreshing drink that not only was tasty but made me think of my favorite Coke product, Diet Coke. I know many people don't like diet coke because it has aspartame and many other artificial ingredients. Some don't enjoy it because it doesn't taste the same as regular coke. I personally like the taste of almost all Coke brands, so this was a great choice.

The first sip of the Coca-Cola Life really made me think of the diet coke taste as well as a little bit of the regular classic Coke taste. I liked the way it gave me a little bit of a fizz and gave me some of the sweet taste without all the calories and artificial sweeteners. This version of the Coke product, has sugar and Stevia extract to give it the sweet taste.

While I enjoyed the few tastes of it I had, I couldn't finish the bottle in one sitting. This was great because it meant that I wasn't consuming all of the sugar found in the product. I enjoyed the sweet taste just enough, and found myself able to finish it the next day without feeling guilty or bad about drinking a soda.

I've included pictures of my bottle to share the nutritional facts of Coke Life. Over all, I was very satisfied with this product, and I think I may make it my go to drink for when I want a soda pop.

While some people like to watch football on Superbowl Sunday, I find myself watching the Superbowl commercials. Not that Seahawks and the Patriots aren't interesting, but let's be real....the commercials are more entertaining for non football fans, or those who aren't football savvy.

Below are some of my family's and my favorite Superbowl commercials of 2015. Enjoy!

Kickstart Mountain Dew
