Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a fan of +GLEE  and all it represents. They know that I not only enjoy the show but I am a fan of the storyline, the actors, and the lessons that come with it. While this show has inspired many to come out of their shells and join together as GLEEKS, many non viewers may misconstrue what the show really is about. It's about many things including acceptance, love, friendship, finding yourself, and following your dreams. The McKinley High Glee Club was just the beginning.

Sure some of the scenes are a little far fetched, but that's just the type of show it is. The songs are meant to be like a music video. For example, in +The Glee Project  the contestants would all perform a song together and it would be filmed as a music video. My personal favorite will always be Mad World. It was deep, and beautiful.

Alex Newell (Unique), The Glee Project, will be coming back for the reoccurring role of a transgender student in support of Coach Beiste's decision to become a man. With much love and support from Unique and a 200 member trans-choir, the group brings hope, support and love as they will sing “I Know Where I’ve Been.” The group was brought together for the series through the help of GLAAD.

I think it's great that Glee has pushed the limits, and showed the world there is more to each other than what is on the outside. As expressed in last week's episode, family is all around in the people who love you, not always by blood. The message of love and friendship has always stood out to me in the series, and I'm sad to see it go. It's one of my favorite shows on television. Good thing it's on +Netflix and I own it on DVD.

  5. I watched the first season and loved it, and caught a few shows here and there since, but somehow lost track of it. I need to catch up On Demand. I am a big musicals fan, so I love it for the music, if nothing else. :)

  6. I stay up-to-date on Glee since it's being recorded so I can watch it at my convenience. It's a shame the series is coming to a close.

  19. I've never seen Glee. But I do love the idea of family being the people who love you and not just the people you are related to. That has definitely been true in my life.

  26. I'm in the dark ages when it comes to popular TV. I haven't seen shows that have been around for years, including this one. I always say I'm going to catch up, but I never do.

  27. I have never seen Glee, but have it on my list of shows to catch up on. It's nice that they show that not every character fits inside the same box. We are all diverse and television shows should reflect that.

  28. I stopped watching Glee a few years ago but I love all of the issues they raise. So good for teens to see it!

  30. I used to watch Glee in the first couple of seasons. I lost it in the shuffle of me moving, and now I'm like 16 seasons behind or something. It's a shame, really.

  31. I have only watched Glee once or twice. It's important for shows to touch on real life issues, that is what makes them a god show.

  32. I am not familiar with the show, but it sounds like they are touching on real life issues and that's a good thing.

  34. My 16 year old LOVES this show! She has seen every episode and tells me about every one once they are over. She is devastated that its the last season. Although i do not agree with homosexuality, i do love the fact that they have every type of kid all in one choir. All races, genders, everything. Blacks,Whites,Asians, Rich,Poor,Jocks,Cheerleaders,Teen mom, Outcasts,Goths, gays, Bisexual, Lesbian, Transgender, jerks. They have every type of high schooler all in one group and they love and support each other even though they are not in the same social groups.I love that!

  38. I don't watch it. While I love music, I absolutely hate 'musicals', shows that keep breaking into song every second just annoy me! LOL

I have no problem with the any of the subject matter, just the fact that people break out in song! I can only take stuff like that in very small doses.

  39. I haven't seen a lot of the new Glee episodes after Finn died. That one was one of the hardest episodes for me to watch. I cried a LOT!

  40. I love what "Glee" did so much, and I find it so saddening that we live in a day and age where disclaimers like this are still required. Whether or not something goes against your beliefs, if the other person is happy, just leave them alone. We're all different, and no one really knows anyone else's story.
