I've said it before and I'll say it once again, music is KEY to cleaning the house. Every time I get ready to clean the house I turn on my "clean the house mix" (such an old school name, I know) and get down to the dirty work. I thought since I've said it so many times that instead of just simply saying play a bunch of upbeat music, I would instead provide you my lovelies with my very own full proof cleaning playlist.
My list is about 30 songs, so I'll list them rather than linking them all individually. It has some current tunes, some old tunes and even some Disney tunes. I like to listen to a little bit of everything when I clean. Each of these songs not only puts me in a good mood but really keeps me feeling motivated.

ReplyDelete10' 12, 13 & 28 are the only songs I know on your list lol. I love listening to music always have even when I was still at university I loved me some classics to help me concentrate and some upbeats for doing chores or working out
ReplyDeleteI don't have a cleaning playlist, but I do have a few favorite songs that keep me going while I'm cleaning. One time I was listening to Theory of a Deadman and singing (screaming) along...and my neighbor was knocking at the door and I didn't hear her. Guess it could have been worse.

ReplyDeleteI love Le Freak! Chic really knows how to get me moving for dusting and polishing! Did you know that record sold over 7 million single copies? "I just can't wait to be King!" is great. Helen Reddy's "I am Woman" gets me motivated through the tough stuff. Thanks for the fantastic list of songs for cleaning.

ReplyDeleteEver since I got a new computer I haven't put any MP3s on it - now I listen to songs from Songza.com or Shoutcast.com - I especially like the first one because you can choose your mood or whatever you're doing. Super fun :)

My life and all the activities in it have their own playlists. lol I have my workout playlist, my cleaning playlist, my "feeling romantic" playlist, my dance party with the kids playlist, my making dinner playlist... Love music!
ReplyDeleteI don't listen to music nearly as much as I should. I am always working and I find music distracting when I am trying to concentrate. I will listen to Christian radio and the Backstreet Boys while I am driving though

ReplyDeleteI'm going to add sound outdoors and play I Just Can't Wait to Be King and Ding Dong, The Witch is Dead while I do the weeding and tend the garden. When it's time to paint the house this fall, I'll tone down the zip to Who Are You and A Horse with No Name. Music is wonderful!
