Remembering Edward Herrmann.

Edward Herrmann much remembered for his role as the Grandfather on Gilmore Girls has passed away as of December 31st, 2014. What a sad thing to hear. As of late many of my favorite actors are passing away. First it was Robin Williams, which we all prayed was a prank, now it's Edward Herrmann? Life, I do not approve.

Much like many of the other fans of his, I remember him mostly from Gilmore Girls. Did you know however that he had many other roles that we might all recall but not realize? Not only was he Richard Gilmore, but he played a doctor in two prime time shows, Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Norman Shales and then as Dr. Reynaud on the series Black Box. Even more impressively, he did a set of commercials for the Dodge Durango, which is featured below.

With his passing, not only will things change for his family, and friends but for the television world. In rememberance of his passing I have gathered some scenes of him portraying some of the roles he did.

  2. It was weird because I watched Lost Boys last night and when I posted it on my FB timeline, someone posted that he died the day before. I had no idea, but the timing was funny.

  3. I LOVED Edward Herrmann as the douchey husband in "Overboard". I don't know why, but I just really liked him in that movie.

  6. I didn't hear about this. I did not watch Gilmore Girls when it aired live but I did catch it a few months ago when it became available on Netflix. I binge watched it all and loved it. I loved it so much I started it again. I knew he was in some other stuff. So sad. I remember when Lost Boys came out. I was such a Corey's fangirl.
