10 Of The Best Netflix Movies Right Now

As we all know, there are plenty of movies to watch on Netflix. The amount of films can feel never ending between all the genres. Here I've listed a total of 10 movies that are hot on Netflix right now. These movies can almost always be found on Netflix throughout the year. If for some reason they're no longer available, still consider watching these films. There are so many streaming services available, there should be no hardships finding these to watch.

Let's get started with the list, shall we?

Top 10 Netflix Movies to Watch

 The Social Dilemma

This movie doesn't only give us a disturbing look into how much technology and social media affects our every day lives, but it hits home something fierce. Viewers will find themselves relating to Ben more than they assumed. Every day we use our phone, internet, e-mail, and social medias. Do you use them a lot, or simply a little bit? Actual workers and former employees of some of the top networking sites give their opinions and stories of how the extreme world has affected them. This movie is well worth the watch.

The Darkness (2016) Movie Review

Over the years Kevin Bacon has starred in many films that people have enjoyed through the continuum of time, however...with The Darkness, I fear, this may not be the case. While previews lead viewers to believe that this movie has promise of scares and thrills, it is a bit of a lackluster. The  film is an entire amount of wasted space as viewers are left bored to death before any real scares come to life. Having said that, I caution you, to watch if you dare.

The film begins with the Taylor family on a vacation in the Grand Canyon. While camping alongside their friends, the families don't notice that something has gone wrong. The group of kids decide to go on a hike and leave the younger son Michael (David Mazouz) alone and he falls into an underground cave. Here Michael finds stones with special symbols on each top. These become his own special treasure, and the family goes back to their regular lives.

Annabelle Creation 2017 Movie Review

Movie Review for Annabelle Creation (2017)

It’s common that many people think of horror movie sequels as a horror story themselves. Let’s be honest, most sequels are awful! However, when it comes to 2017 “Annabelle Creation,” director David F. Sandberg got it right. This film was not only a look into the origin of the Annabelle doll, but gave look into how a true evil was born.

Though movie fans might have felt left underwhelmed by “The Conjuring 2,” it seems they can retrieve their joy again with this year’s Annabelle flick. In the beginning of the film viewers find themselves meeting a set of young girls in a group home. Their new group home however, happens to be unbeknownst to them, a haunted house. Led bySister Charlotte the girls are a variety of ages, up to at least 14. Janice (Taliha Bateman) who has polio, and her best friend Linda (Lulu Wilson) are the main focus at first, as they are the youngest.

Five must see Halloween Films

Halloween is a time filled with laughter, joy and trick or treating. With that in mind, sometimes it is nice as a single person or a family to stay in and have a movie night. Popular Halloween films, both classic and new, can be viewed during Halloween or at any time of the year. These five films can be found online, at a local movie shop, or available through iTunes.

*The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!*

This Halloween classic involves Peanuts favorites, Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy and Sally. In this tale Linus searches for The Great Pumpkin, and hopes to prove to the other kids that he does exist. Meanwhile Charlie Brown is invited off to a Halloween party by a friend, Peppermint Patty.

“It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” was debuted in 1966 written by Charles M. Schulz. It is a short film of about 25 minutes that the whole family will enjoy. Truly a classic, this TV film short, is a surefire hit for any Halloween movie night.

The Ouija Experiment Movie Review

The Quija Experiment (2011)
In light of the newest release of the 3ed installment of The Ouija Experiment; I thought I would take a stab at watching the first movie in the Ouija series again to give it another shot. Needless to say I'm not disappointment. At first I could vaguely recall if I had seen the film before, but then it was like a set of three spoken rules, jogged my memory for me. Those set of rules are as follows:

1.  You should “never ask a spirit how it died.”
2.   You should “never ask a spirit how you’ll die.”
3. “You should never leave the board without saying goodbye.”

Always remember Number 3....

Always.

Zombeavers

Zombeavers Movie Review

Two dimwitted drivers Joseph (Bill Burr) and Luke (John Mayer) hit a deer and it splatters all over the windshield. This deer has also caused them to drop some nuclear waste into the river. The intro of the film gives some fun and eerie music that can bring viewers the nostalgia feeling of a cheesy b-rated horror movie from the 80s.

Cutting to it's next scene of Jenn (Lexi Atkins) cleaning herself up after a bad fight with her boyfriend, Sam (Hutch Dano) she joins her sorority sister's Zoe (Cortney Palm) and Mary (Rachel Melvin) for a girls trip, with their stuff and a dog, no boys and no texting for a weekend. Next they reach Ashwood, where a man has already been attacked by a mysterious creature unseen to the viewers eye. The girls arrives at their location which is Mary's cousin's cabin.

Movie Review Hulu's "Down" (2019)

As a fan of horror movies and suspenseful genre none the less I found myself meaning to endure the new Hulu movie Down. As I anticipated it's arrival on Hulu, i found that there was a lot of hype given to me via my ad experience. I saw the ad for this film on the daily. Still, I needed to see it. In this case I find myself feeling conflicted.

The movie itself starts out like any suspensful movie. It sets viewers up with a plot, then drags them through the trenches into an ending that left viewers feeling incomplete.

Insidious: The Last Key Movie Review

Grab yourself something to hold on to, it's going to be a bumpy ride. This movie, had me on the edge of my seat from the moment in started until the very end. I couldn't get enough of this scary movie franchise. Read further to find out even more on my review of "Insidious: The Last Key"

As the Insidious franchise has progressed it has become better as time has passed. Each movie provides viewers with more scares. Some might find that the first three in the franchise were enough but "The Last Key" should be seen with a friend as it is very scare ready.

A Girl Like Her (2015) Movie Review

A Girl Like You: Movie Review

Bullying has become something so unbelievably sad and increasingly popular among teenagers throughout the years, especially as technology has grown. In the movie "A Girl Like Her," there is an ominous feeling as viewers watch the story of a girl, who attempts suicide as a result of being bullied by another young girl.

Hush (2015) Movie Review

When it comes to scary movies as of late, there is a reoccurring trend going on with house invasions, and serial killers lurking outside. Hush (2016) is not one of those films.  This film brings a different perspective to the welcomed home invasion sub genre.

Viewers are going to follow the story of Maddie (Kate Siegel), who is living on her own in a secluded home. While this might seem quite strange in itself, our story goes a bit deeper, Maddie is a deaf-mute writer. Though this film features a deaf-mute there is much more to the story and it's unbelievably amazing sound. In the beginning scenes, we meet Maddie as she's cooking dinner. The chop of the vegetables, the eggs cracking, the sound of the pan sizzling, it's all there.

Review of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water

What would happen if suddenly there were no more Crabby Patties?
WHAT NO CRABBY PATTIES?!?!

Now that I've caught your attention, let me tell you a little story about what happens when Bikini Bottom runs out of the one beloved thing that the entire town can count on. Coming together, one brave and unexpected team comes together to do everything they can to right this wrong.

SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of the Water Movie Review

Overview

Nickelodeon has brought SpongeBob fans everywhere a brand new look into their favorite sponge in the newest movie: The SpongeBob Movie: Out of Water. In the beginning of the film we see this mysterious pirate (Antonia Bandares) on a treasure hunt to find a special book hidden on an island. We only meet him for a brief moment where he gets back to his ship and sets sail for the mainland.

Much like the beloved cartoon featured on Nick, viewers of all ages can get a glimpse of the evil Plankton trying to steal the secret formula from the Krabby Patty. Plankton who is normally foiled by something during his schemes finds himself that much closer to the secret recipe in the beginning of the film.

With the brilliant idea of changing the recipe out with a fake, he finds himself in a battle with SpongeBob (Tom Kenny) trying to take the formula from his hands. Unfortunately, while in the middle of a tug of war, the bottle vanished out of nowhere without explanation. While the formula is gone Bikini Bottom turns into an apocalypse because the beloved crabby patty recipe is nowhere to be found and nobody knows the formula by heart. Even SpongeBob, who makes the recipe every day can’t seem to recall the recipe.

The loss of the formula puts Bikini Bottom into an apocalypse. With this SpongeBob is blamed and so is Plankton. The entire town has lost themselves because they cannot have their Krabby patty. Having to form a Team or a T-ahm (as Plankton cannot say the word team) SpongeBob and Plankton find themselves working on a way to bring back the formula and save Bikini Bottom, including going back in time.

During this time traveling adventure they not only find themselves going backwards and forwards but at one point meeting up with the watcher of space, Bubbles. At this point they finally go back in time to the right moment but SpongeBob grabs the wrong bottle, and they still don’t have the answers to save the world of Bikini Bottom.

Without giving away the twist, I can share that this unlikely duo becomes a group when Plankton and SpongeBob get a clue. With the help of the group, they set off on an adventure out of the water, giving the film a live action appeal with some 3D animations.

Review
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie. SpongeBob has always been silly and a fun choice for my family and I to watch. Not to mention kids of all ages everywhere can find themselves loving (or hating) this movie. For me, I enjoyed it to my very core because well, I love SpongeBob, he’s cool. I love Patrick because he’s a big dope, but has a heart of gold. The rest of the characters have their own loveable traits and can all be equally liked among fans.

My favorite parts were definitely when Plankton got a look into SpongeBob’s brain and found he was dealing with nothing but happy cheerful things. It reminded me a little bit of Carebears. The second part would definitely be when they traveled onto the dry land and we got a glimpse of these characters outside of their element with a little extravagance.

All in all as I told my friend I would definitely go see this again and I’m already waiting for it to come on DVD because I liked it so much. Don’t believe me? Look at what I wore to the movie when we went and saw it!

Lastly, I can say at the end of the film of course I found myself singing along with the SpongeBob Squarepants theme song and I knew every word even after all these years. With that, I must say; Are you ready kids?
♪ OHHHH! Who lives in a Pineapple under the sea?
Spongebob Squarepants!
Absorbent and yellow and porous is he
Spongebob Squarepants!
If nautical nonsense be something you wish
 Spongebob Squarepants!
Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish
 Spongebob Squarepants!
 READY?
Spongebob Squarepants!
Spongebob Squarepants!
Spongebob Squarepants!
SPONGEBOB SQUAREPAAAAANTS!

I bet you just sang that, didn't you?
(Don't Worry, I did too)

Did you see the film? What did you like or dislike about it?

Dolphin Tale Movie Review

Charles Martin Smith brings his sweet, feel good movie “Dolphin Tale” about a boy, Sawyer Nelson (Nathan Gamble) who is a slight loner stuck inside his own shell. While he is much like boys his age who build models, play video games and avoid the world, he still feels alone. While his father is somewhere off away in no dad land, his mother Lorraine (Ashley Judd) does her very best to be a mother.

One day on his way home from his Florida grade school, he happens to find himself by a dolphin stranded on the beach in the lobster trap. Worried about the dolphin, he skips school and goes along with the local rescue team to the animal hospital. That’s where we meet Hazel Haskett (Cozi Zuehlsdorff) and her father Clay (Harry Connick Jr) and learn more about the rescuers.

No Good Deed

"No Good Deed" Movie Review

“No Good Deed” stars Idris Elba as Colin Evans, who is up for parole after spending five years in a Knoxville prison for killing a man in a bar fight gone bad. Even though Evans is in front of the parole board offering his changed and reformed behavior, a board member does not believe his story. The board member goes on to bring up five women that he allegedly murdered, to throw in his face a man like him is with the likes of Jeffrey Dahmer.

While on his way back to Knoxville, he is annoyed with his denial, and fakes a nose bleed to get the attention of the guards. After receiving ‘help’ from the guard he overruns them and states to let him go and he won’t do anything to hurt them. While at first cooperative, the guard appears to pull a gun, and is killed and he escapes without a trace on a mission to see his fiancĂ©, who unbeknownst to him, has moved on. In what becomes a gruesome confrontation, the man takes his fiances life, and moves onwards to another particular mission, which is not shared with viewers for the majority of the film.

With a terrible storm hitting the town, he tries to speed through and escape across state line. Unfortunately after a brief run in with a slippery road, he finds himself on the door step of Terri (Taraji P. Henson), a former prosecutor, who is not a stay at home mom who worries her husband (Henry Simmons) is no longer in love with her. While she worries, that’s nothing too much to deal with once her husband is gone off to a trip for his Father’s birthday. By being alone, not only is she vulnerable to the storm, but now there is a strange man at the door asking to use her phone.

While most who watch any thriller movie or horror flick know, this is one thing you don’t do. You never let the stranger use the phone, or leave the door open accidentally so they can slip on into the house. However, of course, this does happen. Soon Colin reveals his true colors and “No Good Deed” takes a compelling twist in to a much darker road.

Director Sam Miller and screenwriter Aimee Lagos bring a wonderful take on the home invasion thriller. While there are the main characters in the cat and mouse, a beautiful, and confident best friends comes in to the mix. Leslie Bibb offers a fun character that brings a little more fun into the chase.

Personally I feel that this movie did well for the type of genre it falls in to. I enjoyed watching the entire film from beginning to end. There wasn’t a point where I was bored, or wishing it would end. It was towards the end that I got incredibly intrigued as it all came together. I was shocked and did not see that ending coming at all. As far as I’m concerned this movie gets an 8/10 from The O’Malley Review.
